Dive into the captivating history of Persian carpets and kilims with our fun fact flyers and pictures. Discover the importance of weaving traditions that have been passed down through generations. Feel the textures and explore the tools used for centuries in carpet making. Experience the wonder of wool, cotton, and silk firsthand, and take home colorful pins to remember your journey.

Hands-On Weaving Experience

Get ready for a hands-on weaving adventure led by our talented artist. See how a loom is set up and discover various types of knots. Let your imagination run wild as you craft colorful knots in a carpet and weave through rows of a kilim. Our tapestry booth is also open for kids, where they can create kilims with easy patterns and even 3D designs!

Painting and Collage Workshop

The teaching is to paint on canvas with acrylic paint. Also, they get to know the concept of collage by painting a butterfly on a cardboard and pasting it on a canvas. According to Tirgan Nowruz program, the subject is spring. The colors used in the painting are happy colors related to spring. The butterfly is also a symbol of beauty and liberation

 

این یک ورکشاپ نقاشی است. اموزش رنگ امیزی روی بوم با رنگ اکرلیک است. همچنان انها با رنگ امیزی پروانه روی یک مقوا و چسباندن ان روی بوم با مفهوم کولاژ اشنا میشوند. موضوع با توجه به برنامه نوروزی تیرگان ، بهار است. رنگ هایی که در تابلو به کار میرود رنگ های شاد و مرتبط با بهار است. پروانه هم نماد زیبایی و رهایی است

  • Introduction: 10-minute introduction to printmaking materials and techniques, with kids receiving handouts.
  • Demonstration: 10-minute demonstration of the technique and showcasing sample
  • Practice Session: 20-minute practice session for kids to create their

    1. Apply paint onto plexiglass using a
    2. Scratch a pattern onto the paint with the back of the
    3. Press the paper onto the plexiglass to transfer the
    4. Write their name on the artwork and let it Kids can pick up their finished artwork later.
  • Kids can follow templates such as “Haftseen” and write Happy New Year in Farsi to create their Norouz postcards.
  • They can also personalize their postcards by writing their family and friends’ names on the card.
