Azadeh Zereshkian is a veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, who worked as a deputy director of quality Operations for Sanofi Pasteur, a vaccine manufacturing company. Since moving to Canada over 20 years ago, Zereshkian has always been passionate about the Iranian community and preservation of the Persian language and culture among the Iranian youth in Canada. She served on the board of directors of several Iranian association and organizations (IAUT, Mohandes, etc).
After the birth of her first child, Zereshkian felt the lack of community support for Iranian mothers and small children. Consequently, in 2013 she founded the Toronto Iranian Moms group with the mission to help Iranian children in Canada learn about their culture and language. The group has close to 2000 members now. Zereshkian frequently hosts Persian Circle time sessions to ignite the joy of learning Persian through songs and game-based activities for kids.
